The Prep Chorus and Junior High Chorus prepare three standard choral pieces and present them to a panel of judges. We receive feedback, along with scores to evaluate our performance. This is an excellent opportunity for the choirs to PREPARE quality repertoire as a team, PERFORM for others, and REFLECT on their hard work.
The MGS Choirs will be performing at the IGSMA Organizational Chorus Contest on the evening of Friday February 23, 2018.
Prep Chorus performs at 7:50pm Junior High Chorus at 8:30pm
This contest will be held at Germantown Hills Middle School (103 Warrior Way Germantown Hills, IL 61548).
All Chorus members will be transported TO Germantown Hills by school transportation. Please have ALL CHORUS MEMBERS at Metamora Grade School by 6:30pm. We will arrive at the contest together.
Your child will need to be picked up from the contest after our performance.
Families and friends are welcome to attend to watch their children perform at the contest. The choirs will be scored based on our vocal sound as a choir as well as our professionalism in our ensemble. Please help foster this professionalism by being a supportive audience. Please do your best to not distract your child while they are singing. We hope to see you there!
**If your child will be leaving with a friend’s parent, you must send a NOTE to give them your permission to ride home with that friend**
